Speed chassis

Speed Chassis – the Quick Foundation is an innovative solution that allows anchoring and installing underground tanks without the need to work inside the excavation during unloading. The fully assembled foundation frame, produced at CGH Polska with integrated reinforcement, enables the tank to be placed directly from the truck into the prepared excavation. The structure, made of I-beam profiles and equipped with welded ribbed bars, creates a solid base for tank installation.

Why should you choose Speed Chassis?

Durability and reliability

  • The welded frame made of I-beam profiles covers the entire outline of the tank.
  • Ribbed bars welded to the frame form reinforcement for the concrete slab.
  • Rubber protection pads are placed between the tank and the frame, as well as under the straps.

Safety and savings

  • Tank control using guiding ropes is done from ground level.
  • Tank installation does not require working inside the excavation during placement.
  • Assembly is performed without the need for additional tools or reinforcement work on-site.

Installation flexibility

  • The tank is installed on B10 concrete or compacted soil.
  • Blocks for mounting strap bolts are welded to the foundation frame.
  • The structure enables stable tank installation in various soil conditions.

Speed Chassis and its applications

Fuel stations: Installation of underground tanks without the need to work inside the excavation.

Industry: Support for tanks used in technological processes.

Fuel depots and logistics bases: Stable foundation for storage tanks.

Infrastructure facilities: A foundation adapted for tanks used for process liquids.

Wastewater treatment plants and water systems: A foundation solution for tanks used in water management systems.

Specyfikacja techniczna, czyli najważniejsze parametry, które musisz znać

Construction: Speed Chassis is a frame made of I-beam steel profiles, welded into a structure covering the entire outline of the tank.

Reinforcement: Ribbed bars welded between the frame profiles form reinforcement for the reinforced concrete slab.

Tank mounting: The finished tank is placed on the frame and secured using standard anchoring straps.

Notes and recommendations for earthworks

  • Soil tests are required when preparing a construction design for a specific location.
  • When backfilling the foundation, use soil from the excavation whenever possible, placing it in approx. 0.3 m layers with thorough compaction.

Notes for concrete works

  • Proper concrete curing on site is crucial due to shrinkage stresses. The curing method must be determined before concreting begins.
  • Concrete mix should be placed and compacted in a way that prevents segregation. Compaction must be continuous when placing each batch of concrete.

Design assumptions

  • Underneath the foundation is a load-bearing soil.
  • Backfilling of the tank will be done with non-cohesive soil, laid and compacted in layers, assumed γ =18 kN/m3.
  • The density of concrete in the foundation slab γ =22 kN/m3 was assumed for calculating the buoyancy of the tank.
  • Tank weights taken from CGH Polska technical data sheets.
  • The depth of the tank’s crawlspace – 0.8 m (the layer of topsoil above the tank).
  • The exposure class of the foundation slab XC2 was assumed, and C16/20 (B20) concrete was adopted for this exposure category. If there are waters in the ground that are more aggressive to concrete than for the XC2 category, the composition and brand of concrete mixture should be modified accordingly.
  • Groundwater level below terrain level (hw).

Technology that saves time and money!

Speed Chassis eliminates the risk of installation errors, shortens construction time and increases work safety. With this foundation, the installation process of underground tanks becomes simpler, faster and more cost-effective.
